Hey, Health Stoppers!

If you are a coffee drinker who has been thinking about giving up coffee .... this is for you. If you are not a coffee drinker, but are looking for a new beverage that is loaded with antioxidants, that will both energize AND calm you down.... this is also for you.
We introduce to you.... Matcha tea!
What is Matcha?
Matcha is a traditional drink native to Japan, that is created by limiting the sun exposure of green tea leaves, which causes the chlorophyll levels, antioxidant and nutrient profiles of the plants to increase beyond those of typical sun grown green tea. These leaves are then dried, and ground into a fine powder, allowing for an easy stir (or whisk) and sip experience.
What is Matcha good for?
As mentioned previously, Matcha is LOADED with antioxidants, making it a powerful free-radical fighter and a wonderful addition to any age-defying protocol. It supports healthier, younger looking skin, promotes proper cell regeneration, and is the highest rated food by the ORAC (oxygen radical absorption capacity) method.
Matcha is also high in catechins, which is found to promote heart health and cut the risk of serious disorders in the body.
Matcha is very high in the amino acid L-theanine, which is famed for its ability to promote a sense of calm without causing drowsiness! In fact, matcha has been used by Japanese Zen Buddhist monks to assist in their meditation practices for centuries.
On the flip side, Matcha also provides a nice energy boost. It promotes focus and concentration, without the anxious jitters that come with coffee or energy drinks.
Matcha has been found to increase the body's metabolism and assist the body's fat burning ability by four times it's usual rate!
Matcha's high chlorophyll profile makes it a potent detoxing agent. It is great for detoxing toxic metals and chemicals from the body.
Matcha has both antibiotic properties and a high nutrient profile, making it a great immune system fortifier!
Matcha has been found to lower levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol, while raising levels of HDL (good) cholesterol.
And to wrap it all up, Matcha tastes DELICIOUS. And you can still mix your almond milk in to achieve proper latte form. Yassssss.
So you're probably asking yourself by now...
"Why am I not drinking matcha every morning?"
Well... yeah.
Why aren't you?
